Paperkite Creative works hard to develop new creative designs and innovative concepts for clients on a daily basis. While the process to come up with eye-catching ads, logos and marketing collateral is a collaborative process, crafting visual communication projects requires a finely-skilled artistry, which comes from our leading designer extraordinaire, Jennifer Tesiero.

Jen has been in the design industry for 17 years, specializing in print design, consumer packaging, retail design, and merchandising solutions. Originally from the Binghamton area, she graduated with a degree in Graphic Design with a concentration in Web Design from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) and ventured down to New Jersey to begin a new post-college life with her husband. After struggling to find a job in web design, fate swept her in a different direction and she began her career in retail display design, an area in which she spent 10 years. After a brief stint in the ad agency world, she returned to retail design; but the excitement of the ad agency life remained her mind – especially when Jen’s new role expanded her exposure to the marketing industry.

“I absolutely love learning new things. If I’m not sure how to do something, you can bet I’m going to figure out how to do it.”

After relocating to the Cooperstown area, Jen freelanced for a few years until fate swept her yet again in a new direction – right through the door at Paperkite Creative!

Jen’s ambitious drive to learn allows her to always fine-tune her creative skills in order to produce amazing work for our clients. From advanced web design techniques to animation, she’s always diving headfirst into whatever challenge comes her way.

“I absolutely love learning new things. If I’m not sure how to do something, you can bet I’m going to figure out how to do it.”

Jen offers helpful advice for clients who are new to working with an ad agency.

“The ultimate designer’s fantasy is a client who has all of their text and photos organized; who knows their target market and overall goal for the piece; who has a clear approval process in place; and who is willing to give us the time and authority to do our work,” she explains.

Jen also adds, “Being clear about your ideas and goals, while including as much detail as possible, is critical in the creative process, along with sharing as much as you can about your business, your product or campaign and your target audience. The more information designers have, the more precise their designs will be.”

And her best tip of all?

“Clients who work collaboratively with us not only get our best work, but their projects can keep on track without delays because of a more simplified process.”
